Light, Colour, Shadow

My college hold an annual photography competition, the title was 'Light, Colour, Shadow'
And my photo 'The Girl in the Red Dress #2' was voted for the 'creativity in people & portraiture' award.
Here is my entry.

The prize was... a little goody bag including; 2 'Yeah' magazines, sketch book, book of 'David Bailey', darkroom photographic paper, film with 3o exposures, £10 gift voucher for college photography shop, SD card, mini card reader and a gorilla style tripod. Not forgetting the certificate of course. Brilliant prize i'm chuffed to bits about it.

Here is me, looking horrifically ginger, receiving the certificate from the principle of the college (first time i've ever seen her, or realised we have a principle)

All together there were 12 categories. I'd love to post them all as most of them were fantastic. however here are my favourite two.

The image with the most colour impact
Lily Hubbard with ‘Water Nymph 2’

and this photo won in 3 different categories...

Image which show creativity in nature/landscape

The image with the most creative use of light

Best Overall image

Jordan Watt with ‘Sunset at Heath’

Both are such brilliant photos and i voted for them both, i was actually awed by the quality of their work.
